Scouting in Rottenburg

In our town, the Scout movement has a long tradition and also played a big role among the youth organisations.
The first Scout group was founded in 1919 and nearly continuously (only broken through the Hitler regime from 1933-1945) there were Scout groups belonging to different associations in Rottenburg.
At the moment, to our VCP-Scout troop (with the name "Sueben", that's the name of the germanic people that lived in our region 2000 years ago) there belong about 100 Scouts, divided in the different age groups (Cub Scouts, Scouts, Ranger/Rover, Adults) and several patrols. Our groups are coeducative, i.e., boys and girls are together in the groups. The youngest children in our troop usually are seven years old.

One of our favorite Scout activities is having contact with Scouts from other countries, we already had partner groups from the Czech Republic, Austria, Sweden, Israel Spain, Italy, USA, France and Poland and participated at many international camps, the World Jamborees, and the European Jamboree 1994 in the Netherlands. We are happy to know our Scout friends from everywhere, especially from our partner groups in Jevicko, Hlinsko and Vienna!

If you like to visit us, you are always welcome !!!
And of course, we are also happy to come into contact with you via email, our guestbook or in another way!

Gut Pfad! (That is our way to greet other Scouts)
